Dodol is a kind of food that can be categorized into food groups are sweet (or candy / confectionary). Dodol is very famous in Malacca and Muar , Johor. Making dodol can say is very complicated. Many people are always trying to make it. But not all of which will produce high quality dodol. Usually they are skilled to make dodol consists of those who have aged. Skilled young people rarely make the dodol. The materials needed to make dodol of coconut milk , rice flour , sugar , sugar melaka and salt .

Now, dodol is a very popular food and sweets popular in Indonesia , Malaysia , Philippines, Singapore, and Sri Lanka . While in the Philippines, particularly in areas Ilocos , Luzon and in the Lanao , Mindanao and in India , particularly in the area of Goa .
In essence, this cooking sweets made of milk extraction from fruits of palm parents, jageri ( red rock candy made from the extract of sugar cane or palm sugar ) and rice flour or glutinous rice flour . All ingredients will be blended through the last stir continuously for about 3 to 4 hours at high temperatures suitable for cooking. As a result, the physical and the sense of cooking will change into sticky , thick and sweet . In many countries of Asean , dodol has become, especially on festive meals Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Haji. There are many different versions of dodol either in terms of color, mostly color dark brown , green and yellow .Dodol taste also varied, but the version it is always enjoyed is the sense of the durian, coconut (original) ,pandan, chocolate and strawberry.
